Detoxing for Life
Detoxifying your body is essential to maintaining good health.
Detoxification simply refers to the process of using certain mechanisms to rid the body of toxins, chemicals and other undesirable wastes that have been attacking your body for a long time, creating havoc in your body. Toxic Wastes are deposited into cells and tissues, where they undermine the body's ability to function.
As seen today, there is an unprecedented growth in the use of chemicals, pesticides, additives, derivatives and other forms of toxic substances that enter our body and start attacking it. When your body is attacked with toxins, you can and will experience numerous health problems which may range from headaches to chronic diseases such as arthritis. You might wonder what we need to do to keep check on these problems.
Removing toxic overload can leave you feeling better! Each person is different and people detoxify at different rates, experiencing: Improved Sleeping Patterns, Clearer Skin, Renewed Energy, Better Digestion and Normal Bowl Function, Fewer Aches and Pains.

Salts and Baths
Sea Salts ~ If you have a history of “toxic habits” such as heavy meat eating, smoking or alcohol consumption, taking a salt and soda bath several times a week is a wonderful idea. Fill the tub with warm water and add 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of sea salt and/or Epsom Salt. Stay in the bath for 20-30 minutes to mobilize toxins out of the body through the skin.
Mustard Foot Bath ~ A mustard foot soak can help eliminate toxic headaches (congested feeling), generalized toxic symptoms, muscle aches and pains, water retention in the ankles and other parts of the body. Add 1 tablespoon of mustard seeds and 1 teaspoon of ground cayenne pepper to basin of warm water. Sit in a comfy chair and soak your feet for 20-30 minutes in the bath. Repeat 2-3 times daily especially during periods of intense toxicity. Essential Energy and Laser carries:

Cast Thyself Into The Enfolding Arms Of The Angel Of Water For She Shall Cast Out From Thee All That Is Unclean And Evil.; - The Dead Sea Scrolls- 3rd century BCE to 640 AD
Most detox regimes recommend flooding the body with purified or filtered water, rather than the bottled kind. Infusing the body with water will immediately stimulate your kidneys, liver and digestive system functions. It will boost your metabolism, which in turn accelerates toxin and fat elimination.
Water, The Ultimate Detox Tool - It constitutes an intrinsic part of our daily life and we couldn’t survive without it. Amongst its countless benefits to our health and our planet, WATER is the ultimate natural detox tool.
The recent Detox Craze has reached phenomenal proportions, with manufacturers frantically marketing products that promise instant cleansing and purification, in an attempt to fulfill -and obviously profit from- such an overwhelming market demand. By highly publicizing their successful detox experiences, stars like Beyonce -amongst others- have contributed in making detox the health buzzword of the 21st century. It is now considered a necessary factor in the quest for optimal health, weight loss and well being. Unfortunately, such proliferation, variety and availability of detox aids makes identifying the ideal personal detox program a daunting task. Many cases and articles of detox gone wrong are published on the web, reminding the gullible and the unseasoned of the dangers of extreme detox, which clearly could be health-hazardous. The quest for the ideal detox tool or program is on, with a mind-boggling array of products to choose from: Detox supplements, colon cleansing aids, detox foot baths and detox patches ; The list is endless!
In our frantic search for the ultimate detox, we’ve overlooked the ideal and most obvious detox aid. A free, natural resource we are in physical contact with every single day of our life: Water. NOTHING supports the body’s cleansing and elimination capacity like Water; the most ancient and potent natural detox aid ever known to mankind. Whether by drinking it, sweating or bathing in it, water has been used to expel toxins, and restore health since the dawn of humanity. Drink Plenty of Water!
We are all familiar with the dangers of even minor- dehydration. If the body is not sufficiently hydrated, the cells will draw water from the bloodstream, thus pressurizing and burdening the heart. Even mild dehydration prevents the kidneys from effectively purifying the blood. When this happens, some of the kidney's workload is passed on to the liver and other organs, and may cause them to be severely stressed.
Minor health conditions such as constipation, dry and itchy skin, acne, nosebleeds, urinary tract infections, coughs, sneezing, sinus problems and headache may develop as a consequence. It is no secret that drinking 2 litres of water a day can dramatically improve your health, and the signs will be obvious: Glowing complexion and clear skin, better immunity, better digestion, less aches and pains, weight loss, less cellulite, better concentration and renewed vitality and energy. Infusing the body with water will immediately stimulate your kidneys, liver and digestive system functions. It will boost your metabolism, which in turn accelerates toxin and fat elimination.
Water fasts are highly praised for cleansing, and are regularly practised by keen detox advocates. However, fasting is not to be taken lightly, and any fast longer than 48 hours should be medically supervised.
Sweat it Out! Benefits of the Sauna
There is a valid reason why human beings have used sweat baths for hygienic and health purposes since the Stone Age. It's because sweating has proven its effectiveness in flushing out toxins and disease and maintaining optimal physical as well as mental health. Most cultures around the world have their own versions of the sweat bath, whether it's the Native North American Indians, Ancient Romans, Traditional Japanese or the notorious Turkish bath. However, the most prominent and popular one of all is the Finnish Sauna. For the sake of clarity, we refer to all sweat-inducing baths as sauna. Those include actual saunas, steam baths and sweat lodges, which all work on the principle of generating abundant sweat to detoxify the body and relax the mind.
The skin is the largest organ in the body and through the pores it plays a major role in the detoxifying process alongside the lungs, kidneys, bowels, liver and the lymphatic and immune systems. The skin produces cool sweat to regulate the body's elevated temperature. It also has the ability to transform toxins from lipid-soluble or oil-based, into -easier to eliminate- water-soluble forms. Sweat carries toxins out of the body and flushes them through the pores. Sweating is the body's safe and natural way to heal. Scientists and doctors are finally acknowledging what our ancestors instinctively knew, that regular sweating restores good health through the elimination of toxins. Therefore don't take the sauna for a mere luxury if you aim to achieve and maintain good health. It is a necessity, and a very reliable way to help your body stay healthy by eliminating toxins.
Our modern lifestyle makes most people's skin inactive. Many of us don't sweat, especially during the winter months. Modern synthetic fibres or tight clothing that doesn't allow the skin to breathe, can damage our skin and our natural ability for elimination, as does excessive prolonged sun exposure. A sedentary lifestyle also inactivates the skin. Our skin is exposed to hundreds of chemicals during the course of our life, and is affected by them. From innocent bath products such as shampoos, shower gels, lotions and soaps to deodorants. Household cleaning solvents, detergent residues on clothes and chemicals from the bath or shower water also affect the skin. Regular use of the sauna gradually restores the skin's elimination ability. Sweating removes toxic chemicals and metals faster than other detox method. It is a good habit that pays many health dividends. The sauna's benefits are numerous. Not least because it is so relaxing and leaves your body soothed and your mind serene. It's main advantage lies in the fact that it promotes sweating, helping the body to rid itself of toxins. It is also believed that exposure of the skin to heat stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Other benefits of the sauna include: Improved blood circulation: The sauna increases and improves the rate of blood circulation and breathing.
Weight loss
Sauna is similar to mild exercise, it burns about 300 calories per average session. Regular sauna treatments combined with a healthy diet and moderate exercise will help you lose weight and stay fit and healthy. Skin cleansing: A profuse sauna-induced sweat followed by a shower cleanses your skin far more thoroughly than just taking a shower. It makes it soft and healthy with immediately noticeable effects.
Body relaxation
Stress build-up creates tension in the body manifesting in various aches and pains. The heat and humidity of the sauna diffuses the pain and relaxes tired muscles. A sauna in the evening will leave tense muscles and sore limbs totally relaxed. Sauna also temporarily relieves arthritic pain.
The sauna is essentially a place to relax. Regular sauna adepts all agree that it effectively helps relieve physical and mental fatigue and stress. The sauna enhances circulation and oxygenates the cells, tissues and organs. It increases the body's ability to produce energy, which promotes healing. At the same time, heating the tissues speeds up the metabolism. Your cells are gradually capable of eliminating toxins much more effectively.
Isn't time to indulge?
